Despite living two villages over, the Cock has been my regular haunt for a few years now. When Kat and Wayne took over, it was clear they wanted to build on it's existing reputation of a great local pub and hub for the community. From the exceptional real ales that are always on a stellar rotation, to the great selection of wines and spirits, to the cracking food, you can't go far wrong no-matter what your tastes. They also provide excellent entertainment with their weekly open mic on Tuesdays and brilliant quiz on Thursdays (plus the occasional pop up acoustic session on Sundays). This is a pub you'll want to come back to again and again - and that is all despite the very evident fact that this place is only just getting started and will continue to go from strength to strength ~ Chris P

Pre booked a table for 6 people on Sunday. Staff were happy to change time to later to suit us. Menu is Sunday lunch and a variety of other dishes off the menu. Beef Sunday lunch was lovely..beef cooked to perfection. Variety of veg and even brought more mash out at no extra charge. Choice of 3 pies available with frites and mushy peas. Great service , hot food and good sized portions. Will definitely return. ~ joy v

Incredible food, with a lovely and cosy atmosphere and a great playlist. We had the fish and homemade chips and steak and ale pie. The portions were super generous and the everything was delicious and made fresh. The staff was brilliant as always :) highly recommend for a pub lunch/dinner or a great evening with live music on some nights! ~ Zuzanna L

absolutely brilliant and I went for a meal with my friend and the staff were brill, so attentive, making sure our meal was super. We found them lovely and polite. Well the food wow what can I say it was fabulous cook to perfection, filled me up but still found round for a pudding and glad I did as they wer so yummy. Cannot wait till next time x ~ Julie B

The Sunday beef dinner was delicious, the Yorkshire pudding amazing, the Sunday sausages delicious and the fish and chips, the batter was light and crispy, excellent value and we will definitely be going again. The pup meal was devoured by the dogs 👍😊 ~ Liz B

I understand that the meals are prepared by the chefs fresh each day. No frozen items are used in their preparations. Kat and Wayne, are lovely and very welcoming. Very much worth a visit. 😊 ~ David B

Absolutely a great place for food and drink very friendly people and staff are very helpful, I would honestly say the food is the best around for 10 miles freshly cooked by a great chef ~ Jon B
